Trufas de té verde matcha

matcha truffles

E o seu sabor é moi peculiar porque contrasta o sabor amargo do té co doce do azucre e do chocolate branco.

Ingredientes:

matcha truffles

Preparación paso a paso:

Matcha truffles

matcha truffles

Matcha green tea is a kind of powdered tea introduced by Budhists in Japan in the 12th century. Now it is basically used in the Japanese tea ceremony, though its flavour and the fact that is a powdered tea, makes it widely used in pastry-making. These truffles are one of the most typical presents in Valentine’s Day. The flavour of these truffles is quite peculiar because tea’s bitter flavour contrasts with the sweetness of white chocolate. A very succulent exotic recipe everybody will love for both its flavour and how it looks. Let’s go!

Ingredients:

matcha truffles

– 250 gr chopped white chocolate
– 20 gr butter
– 80 gr crème fraîche
– 50 gr matcha green tea*
– some more matcha tea for coating the truffles

*This matcha tea was especially made to be used in sweet treats and so it had some sugar in it, if you use a purer one, its flavour will be more bitter and so you may have to use less than 50 grams. In case of doubt, the best is to try it while preparing the truffles.

Step by step preparation:

1. Boil the crème fraîche, add the chopped white chocolate and butter, and heat all up a alow temperature.

This recipe is incredibly easy, just four simple steps, and they’re soooo easy! Just melt all ingredients and then add green tea. It can’t be easier, can it? The flavour is fantastic and it will surprise you, as you won’t expect that bitter flavour. At the beginning, the tea we used for coating will leave a bitter flavour in our tongues, but as we keep on chewing it, white chocolate will give a sweet touch which will make you eat more! Besides, matcha tea flavour is amazing, very different from any flavour we know, so you have to try it. I know that you will love it and become a fan, as I am now. And if you prepare them, send your pic and I will post it on the Hall of Fame of the page! 😀
