Torta de 1906 Red Vintage / 1906 Red Vintage Cake

Torta de 1906 Red Vintage

1906

image

Preparación paso a paso:

image

3. Cando a cervexa e a manteiga xa estean máis tépedas, engadimos o azucre e maila outra cullerada de esencia de vainilla. Mesturamos todo ben.

image

image

image

4. Xuntamos ámbalas dúas mesturas.

image

5. Noutro bol, botamos a fariña, o fermento e o bicarbonato. E engadímoslle a mestura de cervexa. Batemos de novo.

image

image

image

8. Batemos a manteiga a temperatura ambiente.

1906 Red Vintage Cake

1906

Yes, I admit that Guinness Cake was really good, but what about this Galician version? Much better!!! The truth is that I didn’t know how this cake would taste like, but…wow! It’s reeeally tasty, delicious and yummy! So, if you tried the Guinness one, or you were giving it a thought, try this one because you’ll absolutely love it! I give you my word! 😉

Ingredients:

image

– 250 ml 1906 Red Vintage beer
– 250 gr unsalted butter
– 400 gr sugar
– 2 big eggs
– 2 tablespoons vanilla essence
– 140 ml buttermilk* (*lemon)
– 360 gr flour
– 2 teaspoons baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

*You can do buttermilk by adding one tablespoon of lemon to the milk.

Ingredients for the cheese buttercream:

image

– 50 gr unsalted butter, at room temperature
– 300 gr powdered sugar
– 125 gr cream cheese
– cocoa powder to decorate (optional)

Utensils: a pan, two bowls, a whisk and a spring form tin with tin foil and butter.
Preparation time: around 30 minutes
Baking time: c. 45 minutes

Step by step preparation:

1. In a pan, add the 1906 Red Vintage and the butter and heat it until the butter has melted and both ingredients have fully integrated.

image

2. Let it cool for a while. Meanwhile, beat the eggs, one vanilla essence tablespoon and the buttermilk.

image

3. When the beer and butter mixture is not too hot, add the sugar and the other vanilla essence tablespoon and mix well.

image

image

image

4. Put the two mixtures together.

image

5. In another bowl, add the flour, the baking powder and the baking soda. Mix them. Add the previous beer mixture and beat.

image

image

6. Pour the batter into the mould and bake it for 45 minutes at 170°C / 350°F, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.

image

7. Let it cool before removing it from its mould. It’s important to let the cake cool before decorating it with the cheese buttercream.

image

(Kukitip: if the cake is not flat on top, you can turn it and use it the other way around!)

image

8. Beat the butter at room temperature. And add the powdered sugar bit by bit. Don’t worry if you see the mixture is too dry, it will become smoother when adding the cream cheese.

image

9. Add the cheese, and mix again until creamy.

image

10. Decorate the cake with the cheese buttercream, using a spatula or a butter knife.

11. If you want, you can sprinkle some cocoa powder over it. And that’s it!

image

Important! Don’t keep the cake in the fridge to prevent the cheese buttercream to end up very hard!

So, as you could see, this is absolutely easy and amazingly yummy! 🙂 If you prepare this cake, you won’t be disappointed! 😉

En outras palabras The Best Cake Ever 🙂
Moitisimas grazas por todo isto kukinhas.

      Grazas a ti!!!
