Ingredientes:
– 500 gramos de cabaza (xa sen pel)
– 3 ovos
– 150 gramos de fariña
– 1 sobre de fermento químico (16 gramos)
– azucre en po
Preparación paso a paso:
1. Cocemos a cabaza con pouca auga.
2. Cando estea brandiña, pasámola pola batedora e deixámola arrefriar.
4. Tamizamos a fariña en engadímola xunto co fermento.
5. Deixamos repousar a masa uns 30 minutiños.

Galician pumpkin fritters
I love pumpkin! And not only because I like the flavour, but also because if you have the possibility of having pumpkins around, you have lots of recipes you can do, and all of them are delicious. One of the most well-known recipes in Galiza are these lovely pumpkin fritters. If you’re not a pumpkin fan, don’t worry! You will not even notice the flavour and the fritter will be smooth, soft and yummy. Let’s go!
Ingredients:
– 500 gr peeled pumpkin
– 3 eggs
– 150 gr flour
– 16 gr baking powder
– powdered sugar
Step by step preparation:
1. Boil the pumpkin with very little water.
2. When soft, process it with the food processor and allow to cool.
3. Beat the eggs and mix them with the purée.
4. Sieve the flour and add it together with the baking powder.
5. Let it settle for 30 minutes.
6. Heat a good quantity of olive oil in a pan ( I also used some lard) and when hot, add a tablespoon of batter.
7. When golden brown on one side, turn them down and let them become brown on the other. When done, put them over a paper towel to absorb the extra oil. Spread some powdered sugar and that’s it!
If you try and find them too oily, it can be either because the oil was not hot enough or because there was not enough oil (it’s better to put too much than too less).
And they’re ready for you to eat them right away! They’re incredibly tasty both hot or cold, and as they’re made of pumpkin, they won’t be dry and they’ll be perfect the next day. So, wait no more and prepare these delicious fritter, you won’t regret it! 😉 Enjoy it!
